Vera Winifred BELL

I was very sad to hear the sad news of Vera’s passing.
Vera was a lovely and amazing lady. She was sharp and quick witted and had a great sense of humour.
Vera was very kind and interested in people and happy to strike up a conversation with any one and make them feel at ease.
I know that Vera was very proud of her children and grandchildren and loved to be around them.
Vera will be remembered and live on in all our memories for a very long time.
It was a privilege to have met Vera and known her over the years.
I would like to send my love and condolences to all Vera’s family and let them know I will be thinking of them and Vera at this time.

Grandma was a rock to so many people. She was my 'go to' person if I ever had a problem, needed advice or just wanted to have a chat. When I was growing up I was so lucky to live close by so she was always around, and later when we moved further away her Sunday evening phone calls were one of the highligts of the week. Those phone calls continued as I got older, often calling twice a week.. I always felt better after a call with Grandma. She never failed in picking me up if I was down and always supported me in whatever I did. She was the most amazing person who had time for everyone, and always put other people's needs ahead of her own.

Grandma lit up every room she was in. Her stories, cheeky antics after a few glasses of wine, and her famous line "God I'm full" after every Christmas dinner will live with me forever. There aren't enough words to describe just how much Grandma meant to me, and how much I will miss her. But I can just count myself incredibly lucky to have had a Grandma like her.

I will never forget you, and I just hope you knew how much you meant to me and our family.

Grandma was such a special person and I feel so grateful to have had her as my Grandma. She was someone who even if you only met her once she was remembered. She was the support system of the family, always there for everyone, fiercely independent and incredibly caring with a wicked sense of humour, always with a good story to tell.
She loves to host and you could never leave her house without a goodie bag of treats after already being well fed! We loved going to Grandma's house in the holidays and they are memories I will cherish. I know how lucky me and my brothers were to have her as our Grandma and for my own children to have known her and had a lovely relationship with. She will be incredibly missed but will live on through our memories of her. We will be raising a glass alongside a dry biscuit!
